Marco Bastos is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at City, University of London. His work addresses sociological aspects of digital media with a substantive interest in the cross-effects between online and offline social networks. [Profile]

Fabio Giglietto is a Researcher in the Media Studies department of the University of Urbino. He is the coordinator of the news-italia.org project, which analyses how Italians get their news online. He is also the director of the research project Mapping Italian News Media Political Coverage in the Lead-up of 2018 General Election. [Profile

Dan Mercea is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at City, University of London and is associate editor of the journal Information, Communication & Society. He has a lasting interest in the implications of new media usage, the adoption and repurposing of Internet technologies in various domains of social and political activity. [Profile]

Luca Rossi, is Associate Professor in the Department of Digital Design at the IT University of Copenhagen. He is active in the field of digital methods for social sciences. His research is interdisciplinary trying to connect traditional sociological approaches with computational approaches. He is working on extending social network analysis techniques for social media analysis, on new approaches for unstructured communities detection, and mapping based on the study of multiplex networks. Shawn Walker is Assistant Professor of Communication/Social Technologies at Arizona State University. His research focuses on two complementary areas: 1) new forms of political participation emerging on social media platforms and 2) the related challenges of collecting, analyzing, and working with data from these platforms.
