Liliana Jesus

I’m a Communication Designer from Coimbra, Portugal, working since 2002 and member of Take The Wind crew since 2012.

My background is Graphic/Editorial Design which is the area I love. At Take The Wind I work most of the time in QA but my days also include Social Media Management, Training, Help Desk support and a little bit of Design.

My role in the Give & Take project is to test this platform as an end user while looking at it with the eyes of a designer.

Joana Rita Santos

I’m a Biomedical Engineer recently graduated (September 2014) and I have been starting my career at Take The Wind (TTW) as a QA Engineer for multiple projects.

My role in the Give & Take project is related to QA and includes distinct tasks such as the elaboration of the requirements documentation, preparation and design of test plans and software tests, to ensure that the Give & Take product is a 5 stars work to all its potential customers and partners.

I’m a Multimedia Designer from Coimbra, Portugal, and I have been working in this field since 2004, sometimes using my skills in social works with children and teenagers. I have been working at Take The Wind (TTW) since 2010, as a Multimedia Designer for projects of graphic layout design and video animation.

My role in the Give & Take project is the elaboration of the platform’s graphic layout.

This project has a special meaning for me because it allies the new technologies to the elderly population. By connecting the older users in one platform, so they can share, in one or more communities, interests and tasks and to offer or ask for help on a daily base. And this means to bring people closer, specially those who are more isolated.

Ana Raquel Macedo

Although I am graduated in Maths – Computer Science, since 2005 I’ve been working and specializing in Web Development which is the area I love the most.

My role in Give & Take is to lead the software implementation as well as being part of the software team that develops Give & Take platform.

Give & Take is an interesting project which promotes the interactivity amongst people. Using this platform people can share experiences and feel close to other community members which is extremely important for the target audience.

Ricardo Seco

I am a Software Developer at Take The Wind (TTW) since June 2014 and have been involved in several full stack projects since 2011.

I have a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Computers (University of Coimbra) and a special interest for designing and developing software architectures and solutions.

I consider the Give&Take project a very nobel and interesting concept, since it promotes amongst people and communities the sharing spirit. People can interact by sharing knowledge and experiences, help other community members to accomplish tasks, or even ask for help with tasks that would be difficult to accomplish on their own.

My role in the Give&Take project is to be part of the software team that specifies and develops the Give & Take frontend and backend platforms, which will be used by the community users and the platform administrators.

I’m Take The Wind’s Chief Operations Officer. My early background is Psychology and Social Work, but my professional challenges have brought me to Project and Team Management.

In the Give & Take Project,  I’m responsible for Resources allocation, Releases definition and also sprints planning together with Rodrigo.

Give & Take has been a great challenge as it involves a multidisciplinary team, with different views and conceptions, but everyone focusing on the same goal: to promote better ageing and quality interaction for the elderly. It also makes me remind the time I used to run a Day Care Centre and was able to better understand old ladies and gentlemen.

Pedro Pinto

I am passionate about sharing: personal stories, great achievements, life… As an entrepreneur, I have focused my business activities providing tools to empower and enable people to achieve the “next level. I am very interested helping Give & Take project to build a sustainable growing model, helping to build an infrastructure that would empower communities to share value in a simple and valued way.

Pedro Silva

I took a degree in software engineering and my main interest is in developing software projects. I have special interest in designing the architecture and developping the core of the applications. My experience is not so much on the interface and user experience (you can say that i make things work…but not in the most beautifull way).

Give & Take is a very nice project on top of the simple concept of giving something and taking something, this can lead to more friendly communities and that would create better communities. And since the project is for the elderly, this objective is even more noble because those people need more from the others than the more youg people. For me, given my background, my main interest in the Give&Take project is on how the technology will help achieving this very important objective.

My role in this project will be participating in the software development. I will have to take part in the data model design and help deciding how to implement the project features. Also, and before everything, i have to take part in the process of deciding which technologies will be used for each component of the application.
