Video from SeniorDay at Frederiksberg Townhall

GiveTakeVideoScreen25 August 2015 we presented the Give&Take platform prototype at the SeniorDay taking place at Frederiksberg Townhall. More than 2000 citizens from Frederiksberg visited the SeniorDay. Many participants used the opportunity to try out the platform and shared their opinions on the idea of service sharing in local communities. Thanks to all engaged citizens for contributing with valuable input to further development of the platform.

Watch the video from the SeniorDay and hear more about the project!

Jörn Messeter

I am Associate Professor in Interaction Design at IT University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the section People and Computational Things (PACT), and the IxD Research Group. I have  PhD in Informatics, with a focus on computer supported collaborative learning, but since then my focus in research and teaching has rather been interaction design, participatory design and co-design, and mobile and ubiquitous computing (in particular place-centric computing). I have around 15 years experience from research in these areas.

Lately I have focused particularly on co-design, infrastructuring and design for sharing, with resource-weak stakeholders in socially challenged non-work settings. I have done case studies in Cape Town, South Africa, where I was Adjunct Professor at Cape Peninsula University of Technology for four years. My role in the project will be to participate as researcher with a focus on co-design approaches and design for sharing, and will also be co-authoring research outcomes from the project.

Rasmus Michaëlis

I have a background in both graphic design and codesign with a BA in visual communication and a MA in design from the new Codesign Master Programme at KADK. As a result, visual communication is a key part of my practice – but instead of the classical focus within graphic design towards creating compelling or persuassive design my interest lies within creating evocative design in both digital, print and film as scaffolds for dialogue. In the Give&Take project I am part of setting up the living labs that are a key activity in the year two of the project.

Line Mulvad

I am a research assistant at the IT University of Copenhagen and hold a MSc in Digital Design and Communication. My special interest is within the field of User Centered Design and Co-Design, especially how to involve and engage users through various methods. I work with an explorative approach to the design methods and like to experiment. I have worked with enactment, scenarios, video sketching, personas, research through design and co-design. With a former background in theater and acting I have also explored how to use methods from this field into the field of design.

In the Give&Take project my role is to take part in planning, conducting and documenting activities with the citizens on Frederiksberg, such as dialogue meetings, workshops and living labs. I enjoy being in contact with the citizens and learn a lot about sharing communities.

Liliana Jesus

I’m a Communication Designer from Coimbra, Portugal, working since 2002 and member of Take The Wind crew since 2012.

My background is Graphic/Editorial Design which is the area I love. At Take The Wind I work most of the time in QA but my days also include Social Media Management, Training, Help Desk support and a little bit of Design.

My role in the Give & Take project is to test this platform as an end user while looking at it with the eyes of a designer.

Joana Rita Santos

I’m a Biomedical Engineer recently graduated (September 2014) and I have been starting my career at Take The Wind (TTW) as a QA Engineer for multiple projects.

My role in the Give & Take project is related to QA and includes distinct tasks such as the elaboration of the requirements documentation, preparation and design of test plans and software tests, to ensure that the Give & Take product is a 5 stars work to all its potential customers and partners.

Miguel Furtado

I’m a Multimedia Designer from Coimbra, Portugal, and I have been working in this field since 2004, sometimes using my skills in social works with children and teenagers. I have been working at Take The Wind (TTW) since 2010, as a Multimedia Designer for projects of graphic layout design and video animation.

My role in the Give & Take project is the elaboration of the platform’s graphic layout.

This project has a special meaning for me because it allies the new technologies to the elderly population. By connecting the older users in one platform, so they can share, in one or more communities, interests and tasks and to offer or ask for help on a daily base. And this means to bring people closer, specially those who are more isolated.

Ana Raquel Macedo

Although I am graduated in Maths – Computer Science, since 2005 I’ve been working and specializing in Web Development which is the area I love the most.

My role in Give & Take is to lead the software implementation as well as being part of the software team that develops Give & Take platform.

Give & Take is an interesting project which promotes the interactivity amongst people. Using this platform people can share experiences and feel close to other community members which is extremely important for the target audience.
