Thesis:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3><h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>&#8211; Theoretical optimizations of quantum repeaters based on atomic<\/em><br \/><em>ensembles<\/em><\/h4><div><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div><h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.<\/h4><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">The thesis explored Quantum Repeater protocols under the<br \/>assumption of an idealized photon source. It explored simpler as<br \/>well as more advanced protocols using atomic ensembles for<br \/>quantum memories. Furthermore it looked into how well the<br \/>protocols performed when taking into account imperfections such as<br \/>photon loss, detector efficiency and dark counts.<br \/>Final grade: 10<\/p><h3><strong><em>Apr. 2021 \u2013 Jun. 2021 Machine learning project: Identifying<\/em><\/strong><br \/><strong><em>insolubles in IceCore data<\/em><\/strong><\/h3><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">I worked on a project to identify materials in images using a<br \/>convolutional neural network. The project gave me experience in<br \/>pre-processing the images, creating and optimizing the neural<br \/>network as well as illustrating, presenting and analyzing the results.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\u00a0<\/p><h2 style=\"font-style: normal\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work experience<\/span><\/h2><div style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', sans-serif;font-size: 16px;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div><h3 style=\"font-style: normal\"><em style=\"font-size: 18px\"><strong style=\"font-size: 18px\">Apr. 2020 \u2013 Jun. 2020 Teachers Assistant<\/strong><\/em><\/h3><p style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', sans-serif;font-size: 16px;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400;padding-left: 40px\">I was a teachers assistant, or instructor, in the course Statistical<br \/>Physics. This involved helping the students solve weekly problems<br \/>and understanding the material. Since this was during the<br \/>pandemic, all teaching was done online over zoom.<\/p><h3 style=\"font-style: normal\"><em style=\"font-size: 18px\"><strong style=\"font-size: 18px\">2016 \u2013 2019 Tutor<\/strong><\/em><\/h3><p style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', sans-serif;font-size: 16px;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400;padding-left: 40px\">Worked at the company &#8220;Din tutor&#8221; as a tutor.
